Alliance for Animal Rights (AFAR)
A vegan -Dublin based group, AFAR (Alliance for Animal Rights)campaigns and distributes information on many Irish issues and promotes veganism. AFAR also collaborates and supports SHAC,and joins International groups to fight the fur Industry, animal farming and blood sports etc.

Animal Cruelty Investigation Group
The Animal Cruelty Investigation Group are a a large team of colleagues, many of whom also work for other campaigning groups at different times. Some colleagues also run their own investigation groups. A common theme though is the use of lawful but hard-hitting investigation techniques.

Animal Defenders' Liberation League
The ADLL is a newly formed direct action group dedicated to eradicating all animal exploitation. They are based in Kerry, Ireland, and have the support of a prominent UK animal rights group in our work. They plan to run regular events to raise awareness of cruelty issues, as well as actively campaigning against all forms of abuse. They encourage members to work individualy to end animal suffering by all means necessary.

Bedford Animal Action (BAA)
A group for people in the Bedfordshire area who are concerned about animal abuse and want to help bring about an end to the suffering.

Birmingham Animal Rights Collective
An active animal rights group based in Birmingham. They coordinate stalls, demonstrations and animal rights related events to help spread the message about animal rights and to help end the exploitation of animals around the world.

Bridgend Animal Activists
An outreach group for VIVA, Animal Aid,The Vegetarian Society & Hillside Animal Sanctuary helping them with campaigns large and small. They'll also be helping out their local sanctuaries, like Cefn Yr Erw and local animal chairites by fundraising for them! As well as organising their own awesome demonstrations & events (which will hopefully involve lots of props & fake blood!) So what are you waiting for? hop on board! what could be more fun?

Brighton Animal Action
Aside from their leading campaigns, Brighton Animal Action supports national campaigns locally.

Bristol Animal Rights Collective (BARC)
Bristol animal rights collective has only a few objectives; to educate the public and to help stop animal abuse!!! They hold street stalls and meetings and campaign locally as well as nationally. BARC also has a strong Hunt sab influence with most of the group out weekly during the fox hunting season to sab the hunt!

Cambridge Animal Rights
Animal Rights Cambridge is believed to be the longest standing local Animal Rights group in the UK. The group was started in 1977 as Cambridge Animal Aid, the group stands against all forms of animal exploitation and abuse.They take action on animal rights issues at a local level and attend national animal rights protests. They hold monthly planning/update meetings and take part in the regional group EAARN (East Anglian Animal Rights Network) meetings.

Carmarthenshire Animal Action
A grass roots Animal Rights group actively working in Carmarthenshire, Mid/South Wales, to end animal cruelty and to promote the philosophy of Veganism. They also often demonstrate against companies that profit from animal cruelty so look out for their bulletins for updates & general AR info.

Close Noah's Ark Zoo
Ongoing campaign against a small Zoo that has been exposed for animal cruelty.

Coventry Animal Alliance
The group is very active in a wide variety of campaigns both local and around the country. Everything from exotic pet markets to circuses and the meat industry to the fur trade. They also promote the veggie/vegan diets as the best way anyone can help animals whilst also improving their health and helping to save the planet at the same time.

Cruelty Exposed
Exposing the cruelty of hunting. They save lives, so could you.

Derby Animal Rights
In the Eighties the group diversified into general animal rights issues and henceforth had a dual identity Derby Animal Rights and Derby Hunt Saboteurs.

Empty Cages in Trinity Labs!
This is an anti-vivisection website designed to promote the campaign against animal testing in Trinity College Dublin, and to publicise events, protests etc .

Essex Animal Freedom
Essex Animal Freedom are an active animal rights group campaigning to put an end to animal exploitation in and outside of Essex. They demonstrate locally, as well as arranging transport to national protests and actions. They also hold regular information stalls and events to educate the public and raise awareness of the suffering being endured by animals - RIGHT NOW.

Ethical Voice for Animals
Ethical Voice for Animals (EVA) is an animal rights group based in Edinburgh.Their activities over the years have included stalls, protests, school talks, demos, vigils, discussion groups, talks and lastly but not the least - the compassionate living fayre in Edinburgh. They believe that their work is to bring people together and provide common ground across Scotland to campaign for animal rights.

Exeter Friends for Animals
Committed to opposing and exposing animal cruelty and was set up to help end the massive suffering of farm animals by promoting vegetarianism and veganism. They initiate campaigns locally to expose cruelty and also act in support of national organisations.

Foie Gras Action
Foie Gras Action was formed to combat the restaurant trade's continued sale of foie gras, a 'delicacy' made from the diseased livers of ducks and geese. On a daily basis, the birds have pipes forced down their throats and are fed grain until their livers become inflamed, swollen and infected. A loophole in the law makes it legal to import the food. Restaurants throughout the country serve the dish and Foie Gras Action intend to highlight those involved and bring an end to this grisly trade.

A campaign by West Yorkshire Animal Rights Group (WYARG), aimed at ridding the county of foie gras.

Grampian Animal Rights Advocates
The website for Grampian Animal Rights Advocates, a group campaigning on several Animal Rights issues throughout the Aberdeen and Grampian region.

Hunt Watch
Hunt Watch was formed February 2005. It was set up as a base for all hunt monitoring groups in the UK. They will monitor fox, hare, stag/deer and mink hunts, as well as hare coursing.

Lancaster and South Lakes Animal Rights
A group of concerned people in Lancaster and south lakes, who are campaigning towards a better world for animals.

Leeds Animal Protection
Leeds Animal Protection is an animal rights group who believe that, like us, animals are sentient beings, capable of enjoying life and of suffering pain. Humans have no right to imprison, torture and kill fellow sentient beings. Animals are not ours to abuse for any reason. This group actively campaign against all types of animal abuse.

Leicester Animal Concern
Leicester Animal Concern (LAC) campaigns against all animal abuse. LAC runs a regular educational stall in Leicester city centre and organises Leicester Green Fair in the spring and a Cruelty Free Christmas Fair. Individual members of LAC are involved in sanctuary work and raising funds for animal causes. Leicester Animal Concern promotes a compassionate vegan lifestyle.

Lincoln Animal Rights
A local campaign group dedicated to speaking out for the rights and welfare of animals. The group meets fortnightly to discuss and plan events such as information stalls, local demos and also attend national demos.

London Animal Rights
London Animal Rights helps to co-ordinate the various campaigns in and around the London area. If you wish to be kept informed about events in the London area, there are regular alerts via email text and phone. To subscribe free to one or more lists, or for further information, contact them.

Manchester Animal Protection
Manchester Animal Protection campaign for animal rights in Manchester and the surrounding areas and also hold monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of the month.

Merseyside Animal Rights
The campaigning body for animal rights in Liverpool. They campaign against the abuse and exploitation of animals. They hold regular fundraising stalls in the region and organise transport to national demonstrations and also hold friendly, informal meetings on the first Tuesday of every month.

Milton Keynes Vegetarians Vegans & Animal Rights
Dedicated to the prevention of animal cruelty and raising awareness of animal rights issues. They also aim to benefit local Vegetarians and Vegans by organising social events and giving useful information on helpful topics.

Newcastle Animal Rights
Newcastle Animal Rights formed in September 2009 and actively campaign in Newcastle and Northern England to fight against animal suffering.They hold regular stalls in Newcastle town center.

North East Animal Rights
NEAR are an animal rights group based in the North East of England, particularly around the Middlesbrough & Stockton area.They are always in the town centre giving information on various animal rights topics, including vivesection, fur, the meat and dairy industry and so forth.They are hoping to expand their group and be able to travel further if there is enough interest; they are constantly on the lookout for new members so if you're interested in getting involved with fighting for animal rights then please contact them.

Nottingham Animal Rights
Works to co-ordinate the activities of many of the groups and individuals campaigning for animal rights and welfare in Nottingham.

Redditch Animal Rights
Formed in January 2002 to campaign for a better life for abused, neglected and exploited animals.

Sheffield Animal Friends
Sheffield Animal Friends is an active animal rights group based in Sheffield, and active across South Yorkshire and beyond. They do weekly stalls and demonstrations against the fur/vivisection/meat/animal entertainment industries. They also promote veganism through info stalls and food give aways along with arranging social events to go out for tasty vegan food!

Southsea Animal Action
An animal rights campaigning group based in Southsea in Hampshire. They campaign against all aspects of animal cruelty.

Stop Animal Experiments at Bradford (SAEAB)
Stop Animal Experiments at Bradford (SAEAB) is a legal campaigning organisation, aimed at stopping animal abuse and cruelty through means of protest and spreading information.

Stop Animal Experiments in Sheffield
Stop Animal Experiments in Sheffield (SAEIS) is a campaign aimed at highlighting the inherent cruelty of vivisection (or animal experimentation), raising awareness about experiments carried out at Sheffield’s universities, and eventually freeing the city of animal experiments.

Stop the Leicester Animal Lab.
The University of Leicester have a number of laboratories which kill 101 animals every day, 36,773 every year, in a variety of experiments using rodents, chicks and xenopus. UoL are also involved in research using beagles and primates. The new laboratory is currently set at being constructed on Lancaster Road in Leicester, behind the fire station and houses. It is scaled at being 4,000 square meters at a cost of £15million and will contain a variety of different species and strains of animals.

Students Against Animal Cruelty (SAAC)
A national organisation created to support, stimulate and encourage students who want to make a difference for animals. They aim to create a network to link existing student groups and help to create new ones, allowing students across the country to share their ideas and experiences. They can also give help and advice on various issues.

Swansea Animal Rights
Swansea Animal Rights work in the South Wales area and further afield and in conjunction with other movements. They believe in Animal Liberation via non violent direct action.

UPROAR - Uphold, Protect & Respect Other Animals' Rights
UPROAR are based in Plymouth, Devon, and regularly organise demos against those who seek to exploit and abuse animals.

West Yorkshire Animal Rights Group
West Yorkshire Animal Rights Group campaign locally against animal abuse and cruelty. They hold stalls every Saturday in Leeds City Centre. Regular leafleting is also done as well as demos, hunt sabbing and meetings.

West Yorkshire Hunt Sabotuers
The group has been set up to highlight bloodsports in the county and take action at hunts and shoots to save the lives of the animals being killed. Also running the 'Dying For a Pint' campaign, aimed at naming and shaming pubs and hotels who host hunts in the West Yorkshire area and are known for continuing to hunt and kill animals illegally.

York Action for Animals
YAFA campaign locally and also support national and international campaigns. YAFA is against all exploitation be it of human or non-human animals.
